The Southern Bundt Cake

In the South we make these...

In these...
Mama's Bundt

To take to our neighbors. It's true. We did just that today when good friends of ours moved in about a mile from us!

Life is good and we're blessed. Go ahead and give it a try. It's more fun than "My Big Fat Greek Wedding!"

For fun, I'll share Paula Deen's lovely version of the Southern Bundt Cake:

Ingredients:
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
6 large eggs
3 cup flour
1 cup sour cream
3 cup sugar
1/2 lb (2 sticks) butter
Directions
Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

In a large mixing bowl, combine and cream the butter, sugar, and add the sour cream. Sift the baking soda and flour together. Add the sifted flour to the creamed mixture alternating with eggs, beating each egg one at a time. Add the vanilla and pour the mixture into a greased and floured 10- inch tube pan. Bake for 1 hour 20 minutes.

Yield: 8 to 10 servings
Preparation time: 25 minutes
Cooking time: 1 hour 20 minutes
Ease of preparation: easy
