Seventh Generation

Spring is in the air, actually near record highs are making it seem like summer is here. We are always on the hunt for more things to do that are simple, effective ways to make our world a better place in which to live. We are always recycling as much as possible around the house. We save a full trash containers worth of recyclables every 2 weeks.

The proverbial "spring cleaning" begun in earnest at our household, and the entire family is absolutely thrilled to be using some new (to us) environmentally friendly, ie "green" products to help us with this endeavour. Mountain Man and I are thrilled to partner and share with you about Seventh Generation. This company is amazing!

Seventh Generation has everything you need to accomplish your spring cleaning and more! The products that are used are environmentally friendly around the house and can be recycled after use! Check out this small list of some of the features of one of their cleaners:

Non-toxic & biodegradable
Hypo-allergenic
Does not create harsh fumes
Not tested on animals
Kosher-certified

Awesome! Seventh Generation, "For 20 years, the closely held Burlington, Vermont-based company has been at the forefront of a cultural change in consumer behavior and business ethics." What a great company to work with. The wrapping paper on around the paper towel is recyclable also! I gave it to Mountain Man for this weeks recycle pick up!

The products smell nice and not overbearing. I have to tell you, it is so nice to have nontoxic goodness to clean with everyday! The completely recycled paper towels absorb well and are sturdy too. Check out the cute cleaning caddy for organizing! It is completely recycled as well.

You know we love healthy living and eating. We love healthy eating and 'go organic' often. And who would have thought there is a cookbook on how to eat more healthily and naturally. This includes advice and recipes from some of the greats: Dan Barber, Joan Gussow, Emeril Lagasse and more! Did you hear me, Emeril Lagasse! Check out Seventh Generation and start going green today with some simple, awesome products and recipes!

I will admit as a busy mom of twin boys, it is not always easy and simple to recycle, yet it is worth every effort to literally have a hand in making the world a brighter place. And it is music to our ears when the Tigers say, "Dad, we can recycle that!" :)

Now for the Fun! Seventh Generation has offered a Giveaway of the "Disinfecting Cleaning Kit!" Here's how you Enter to Win: (leave a comment/entry once for each step 1-3 that you do). Good Luck!

1) Blog it
2) Tweet It

I love these products. We need to get back to the old way of doing things. Many chemicals that we are using daily are harmful to ourselves and our environment.

Now that we know all of L's allergies, we really need to look into this Seventh Generation line.

Haven't tried these products, but would love too. Don't like the fumes from regular cleaning products.

I would love to try these. Like Jen my child has a lot of allergies and I just hate using chemicals in the house.
