Oceanic Seafood Restaurant, Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina is a very special place. Whether you are celebrating a special occasion or just having lunch, the Oceanic is ideal. You can see the hustle and bustle of a Bridal Party here on this gorgeous Fall day when my so n and I got away to the Oceanic for a little Mom and Son time.

The Oceanic is wonderful to celebrate. The beauty of the ocean front restaurant is stunning.  You can enjoy the ocean views from inside the lovely restaurant on on the Pier which is what we choose this fine Fall Day. The water was crystal blue and green. 

                       

We started with fresh Shrimp Cocktail and She Crab Soup for appetizers. These were excellent choices. The seafood is fresh and abundant at the Oceanic. 

Again, the weather was perfect on the Pier.  I loved the Blackened Salmon with Fresh Broccoli and Garlic Mashed Potatoes. The blackened salmon was outstanding. I love this combination and will order it again! 

My son loved the classic Shrimp Basket! Here you can see her loved the fries and shrimp as I took this picture half way through his eating it! :) He loved it as shrimp is one of his favorite things. He could not finish it so there was plenty food in the Shrimp Basket!

Of course, after the wonderful lunch, we used the Oceanic beach access to walk right out onto the beach. My son loved chasing and running with the waves! I love this photo of his pure joy having no idea I was taking his photo! :) I got him in action! Enjoy the ocean! The North Carolina beaches are lovely!

We captured our beach feet in the tide before we had to leave. Our visit was spectacular at the Oceanic and their oceanfront beach. 

The Oceanic Seafood Restaurant is just over the bridge / bay from Wilmington, North Carolina. This whole area is full of rich North Carolina history, and entertainment from fine dining, to horse and carriage rides, UNC-Wilmington and the beaches of Wrightsville.

Wrightsville Beach, NC Holiday Inn Resort

This was a the trip where my wonderful Boulder Mountain Man stayed home to work 

for us. And my Auntie Jackie joined us and we had some good Auntie time! 

We were surfers so little time was spent in the awesome beach service chairs by 

the Holiday Inn Resort Beachfront. It looked good! :) 

We LOVED our Sunset Cruise!

Then, it was at the best of Surf School!  All of us! 

And we ALL Caught Waves off the Atlantic! Epic! 

Then, it was a celebration dinner at Blu Water Grill on the water! :)

My son's favorite, the Shrimp Plate. This was a kids meal! Perfect!

BlueWater Waterfront Grill, Wilmington, NC

BlueWater Waterfront Grill in Wilmington, North Carolina is one of our favorites! 

The ambiance cannot be beat.  When we are at the beach, we want to pretty much stay on the water.  So we plan as many meals as possible on the water.  Sometimes we'll eat lunch on the beach or at the pool looking at the beach!  

"Bluewater offers spectacular panoramic views of Wrightsville Beach's Intercoastal Waterway. Watch boats cruise past your table and relax to the sound of sail masts lightly tapping at the nearby marina, all while enjoying the casual American menu including baby back ribs, char-grilled steaks, fresh fish and delicious homemade desserts."

When we're in Wrightsville Beach, we LOVE BlueWater Waterfront Grill!  

Here we are with Auntie J!  We had so much fun with her. The Tigers and I paused for 

a moment before our awesome dinner to capture the memory. 

Then inside for the fun...

I love the nautical atmosphere.  You know, nautical and preppy.  That's us. 

Isn't this just fabulous!  We loved this wonderful Welcome.

See Auntie J, I captured this cute picture of her and of course, I had to get you an 

up close example of the food served.  Someone is having a great meal!

The Tigers were making some great choices. I love getting them dressed up for a nice dinner out. 

Here we all are!  What a view!  We loved watching the boats in the Harbor while 

we enjoyed our quiet and peaceful dinner.  Isn't it elegant!

Auntie loves the water and has christened her own boat in her day so she 

truly enjoyed these moments and we had fun reminiscing our sailing days together

there on Lake Pontchartrain and on the Gulf of Mexico. 

BlueWater is a great place to socialize as well. I noticed a lot of locals coming in 

to visit and have a nice dinner together.  This was a work week night. 

BlueWater Waterfront Grill is awesome for date night and family night.  See, Tiger A had a great meal! They loved the real Cheeseburgers! And they said the Fries are great.

Tiger B went with the Fried Shrimp.  Reminds me of when I was a child. I used to 

love the Fried Shrimp.  Then I moved on to Grilled Shrimp and have not looked back. 

Thankfully, he loves grilled shrimp, too. 

Check out the awesome Scallops yes, the had a little Bacon and the 

Fresh Black Bean and Corn Salsa. Oh man, this was fabulous. 

Grilled Salmon with Crab on top was so tasty and fresh. The rice pilaf was

a perfect side with it along with a little salad. 

Dineer was so great and satisfying, we did skip dessert. That's okay because 

we had the perfect meal.  Dessert can wait when you have this great seafood. 

Though I am sure they are stellar as well since everything they do is. 

We loved our evening at BlueWater and cannot wait to return.

Sunset Cruise on the Wrightsville Scenic Tours and Water Taxi

We adored taking a Sunset Cruise while on our Beach Vacation to Wilmington North Carolina Coasts and Wrightsville Beach.  It was so awesome!  We all hopped in this picture to commemorate the evening! 

  

We all had a fabulous time relaxing together ...

We saw so many beautiful homes and businesses right on the inter coastal waterway there in Wrightsville.  It was fascinating.  Gweneth Paltrow was filming in Wilmington just a few days before our visit.  They are all filming the new Nicholas Sparks movie, "Safe Haven."  So cool!

I love this picture of every one's smiles. It is so indicative of the evening. 

We boarded the Wrightsville Scenic Tours Boat and Water Taxi right on the mail 

land of Wrightsville and the water dock was easy to find near the Blockade and parking was easy. 

We sent this picture to Dad since he was home in Raleigh working on busy deadlines that week. 

Thanks Dad, you're the best! 

Auntie J loves the water and spent many a day sailing in her own right.  So she and Captain Jack

had many stories and things to talk about the water and more. I love this one. 

They seem like kindred spirits. 

Of course, we all had to take a picture with Captain Jack.  After all, he let us each 

steer a little so we could experience Captain-ing a vessel, too!

The Tigers were smitten!

Auntie J and I were so happy to sail together again.  We have our own fun memories 

of sailing the Gulf of Mexico and Lake Pontchartrain! 

The view was breathtaking! 

There were those sporting.  Fishing and more. 

Um, you can tell they can't contain the excitement.

We made it back to dry land.  Even with our own "Sharks!"  The boys wanted to stay. Can't you see it.

Good night Moon! 

We were off to dinner at Blue Water Grill.  We got to see the Restaurant from the 

water.  Now, we would eat dinner and watch Captain Jack sail by with another crew! 

Fun times.  Go ahead and experience the water!  You'll be glad you did.
