Market Raleigh Restaurant

My family and I had a fabulous invite to dine at Market Restaurant in Downtown Raleigh for Sunday Brunch. What an amazing experience in every way. Every thing offered here is from North Carolina, so it is really fresh and better yet, locally grown.

We got to speak with Chef Chad, and he was extremely personable and just a lot of fun. Check out my interview with Chad.

The servers were very friendly and knowledgeable about everything on the menu.

The music volume was just right, a somewhat beachy theme to it. It is a very family friendly atmosphere, and they even have a great deck to sit out on on those cooler days or evenings. The menu does change every 2 to 3 months, which is a great reason to keep going back to see what new concoctions Chef Chad has created!

Boulder Mountain Man, my sweet husband, loved visiting with Chad and talking about Boulder, Colorado. :)

We really like Chad's philosophy, taken off the front page of his website:

"Market Restaurant is committed to serving whole, all-natural, unprocessed foods from local sources. We make every effort to support organic and sustainable farming practices while providing our guests with the best experience possible. Healthy food, prepared fresh, from local seasonal ingredients."

Market Raleigh Restaurant lives up to that philosophy. The food was incredible, especially the New Orleans style French Beignets. That was a true treat, lightly drizzled with the honey from the bees out back! We want to go back sometime and just have some Beignets and Coffee, and we won't have to go all the way to New Orleans to do it!

For those of you in the Raleigh-Durham area who are looking for a very nice place to eat, look no further than Market Restaurant. If you have not been, you are in for a very special treat. If you have been, the same applies. This type of restaurant is hard to come by as far as the combination of great fresh food, locally supplied and laid back family friendly atmosphere. It really is a relaxing place to be, and we cannot wait to go back sometime in the near future. They even feature local artists. This is great because they are right adjacent to Peace College Raleigh.

You know, Boulder Mountain Man and I are big time coffee lovers, and the coffee served there was phenomenal. Right out of Hillsborough, NC, by the name of Joe Van Gogh.

Check out their website for Sunday Brunch dates on the Market Raleigh Facebook Page. The Sunday Brunch dates are not to be missed. The awesome food, coffee and ambiance! Here is a look at my Seafood Crepe with a Locally grown salad and herbs. mmmmmmmm

We loved Market Raleigh! Hope you get a chance to go! Have you tried it? Go and enjoy! :)
