Wake County School Board Has Thrown Out Controversial Zone-Based assignment Plan

Tonight the Wake County School Board has just voted to throw out their controversial, zone-based assignment plan.  This comes after much controversy regarding children attending their own neighborhood schools.  Wake County School Board Vice Chairwoman Debra Goldman and chairman Ray Margiotta were intently involved in the meetings.  


Many new residents to Wake County state they came to North Carolina and Wake County specifically for the wonderful Wake County Public School System.  One here, many have been disillusioned.  Many are very happy. 


What are your experiences?  Are your children in your neighborhood school?  Are they bused to another "zone."
