Shaklee180 Final Vlog This Is Not Good-Bye

You know I LOVE writing about Family, Fitness, Fashion, Travel and Fun.   Shaklee180 has been a wonderful fit for my blog and lift.  And my Shaklee180 Blogger Journey has been a complete blessing and delight.  I am so thrilled to have finished this Six Month Program.

However, this is not good-bye.  I am thrilled to say this is a lifestyle that I am so happy to have incorporated.  The program works so well and is pretty simple to add to your life.

Thank you for joining my journey and following along on my fitness and wellness journey.

Shaklee180 Final Post

My Final Shaklee180  Post as part of the Shaklee Blogger Program.  It has been an incredible six months and most of us find it hard to believe it is over.   Really, it is not over.  In many ways, thanks to Shaklee180, the journey is just beginning.  Here are my favorite things I LOVE about the Shaklee180 Program.

The Shaklee180 Program is healthy, nutritious and tasty!  I LOVE the products are GMO-FREE, Gluten Free, no preservatives and no food dyes.  Love the natural taste.  Shaklee180 makes me happy!

After Shaklee180
Kept me focused.  There is nothing like a smoothie or delicious protein meal bar to keep you focused on your health and wellness.  This has been a real shift in my thinking about food.  Life is busy and in the past, when we were busy, that signaled poor meal or snack choices.  With Shaklee, I have a lot of support with my choices in the meal bars, smoothies and the snack bars.  These are filling and nutritious.  Again, they make me smile.

It Works!   It has been exciting to work on a reasonable and healthy diet and exercise program that works without depraving you.  I love that I have enjoyed treats and still have consistently lost weight.  I am not finished with my journey.  Due to my injury, my last month and a half of Shaklee180 was pretty much exercise free :(  which equals a very sad face. I LOVE my exercise.  Slowly, I have been able to begin again.  It makes me appreciate it all the more.  I am so grateful.  Shaklee180 works! I was able to maintain my weight during this injury.

This is my favorite reveal.  Here you go, same Nike Capris:

Here is another before and after with the SkirtSport workout gear that I LOVE:

Though the lighting at the gym is dim, you can still see the difference in the same workout gear in the picture above and below.  It looks so much better four months later. :)

After Shaklee180 6 Month Program

This picture of my family and me is a favorite of Summer. So fun and casual and skinnier! :)
I know I had to say it.  Feel so much better and now I can see it, too!

So fun shopping for new clothes!  Modeling a little. :) h

It is worth all of the hard work when I can enjoy a fabulous date night out with my honey.

Now for the Numbers, after 6 months on Shaklee180, I have lost:

Weight:  24.5 pounds
Hips: 5 inches
Waist: 8 inches :)
Bust: 3 inches
Arm: 1.5 inches

So I am very excited for the progress and I plan to continue with this successful way of life.
If you have any questions about Shaklee180, I am happy to help you get started.

Warmly, Carolina Mama

Shaklee 180 Weight Loss Update Month Five

Boulder Poolside

My Shaklee 180 journey has been a fabulous experience.  It is hard to believe how quickly this five months have flown by for me.  I have to say I am so thankful for healthy eating and exercise habits that are sticking and have become second nature.  The joy of this Poolside photo is because of my recent Shaklee180 journey along with my exercise and gluten free diet over the last year.  This post is part of my Blogging Agreement with Shaklee180 Blogger Program.  All opinions are my own.

And then she fell....

Sometimes we have an injury, Compression Socks :)
That's right, on July 13th, I was business as usual at my gym about to take a run on the treadmill when I realized my headphones were in the car.  So I paused between the two sets of stairs, and went back down stairs my usual pace.  Somehow my right foot caught and I was flying down 7-8 stairs for the concrete floor at the Welcome Desk of my gym.  Thankfully, I had a hand skimming the rail and both hands instinctively grabbed the rail bracing my fall. I am grateful that I was not seriously injured or ending up in surgery or worse.

However, my body flipped a bit from my reach for the rail and I landed on my left leg resulting in a Tibia Contusion.  It is rather severe yet that injury is not major according to my Doctor.  It has been a long almost three weeks already.  The doctor immediately ordered me to not run "keep your feet on the ground."  So I kept my CowGirl Boots on the ground at the Frontier Days in Cheyenne, Wyoming at the Bull Fights Championship.  Too fun.

Frontier Days, Visit Cheyenne, CowGirl :)

Following doctor's orders, I rested and followed RICE recovery.  The fall was four days before our departure to Colorado for Vacation.  We did have to run through the Atlanta Airport as our Raleigh departure was delayed and we did make our connection.  So there was activity and there were two simple hikes in Colorado and other walking, touring, etc.  Then I had to scale back activity again.  None the less, I watched my diet and had splurges in Colorado like the world-famous Zolo Grill Guacamole!  And our favorite local Italian, Pasta Jay's! (Not gluten Free).  And I watched the amount I ate.  So my diet was taking a break and still watching portions.  It was a wonderful vacation.  And when I got home ten days later.  I approached my scale... and I was pleasantly pleased!

This month, I have lost a total of -2.8 pounds!!  And -1 inch Hips loss!  This is good.  Yeaa. You did read it right.  This is a reminder that over time we will see changes.  Even when I was discouraged and not working out as my usual.  My body was ready and let that inch go!

SO excited through it all this month with my injury and vacation!  This is especially exciting because my overall diet and Shaklee180 program have made the difference even in my not exercising the last half of the month!

Also, I had my Shaklee180 shakes and meal bars the first half of the month.

Then no travel, I ate reasonably and had some meal bars on the go.  So I did not throw caution to the wind.  That is the tip I want to reiterate, everything counts! :)  So every good thing does make a difference.  In the past, I have gotten discouraged and 'thrown caution to the wind.'  It got me no where.  So remember do something, every good thing makes a good difference!  Here we are at the NASCAR JR Ride Along and my new top is too big!  Happy, happy, happy.

JR NASCAR Ride Along with my Sons (my new top is too large!) #shaklee180
Since I was not super active this month, I do not have my usual workout photos so next month's reveal in those clothes will be all the better. Right!  I am sharing shots along the month that I am so proud of for staying my Shaklee180 and workout journey.  Here I am in my usual workout outfit with my husband on one of our Colorado hikes!  Felt so great to be back doing this. I made the very flat front loop this time - about an hour.

Thank you for following along and let me know if you have questions.  I am here to help you as well.  Until next month, that is when I write my final post for Shaklee180 with my Six Month Reveal Photos and numbers.  Thank you for following.  Also, tomorrow you will see my Shaklee180 video for the month. Stay tuned.

Warmly, Carolina Mama

Shaklee180 Four Month Update - Progress

"Nobody knows the price of this Dream...."
Soul Surfer "Runaway" by Matt Kearney

Greetings!  Everyone's journey and dream is different.  I love this quote from Matt Kearney's Soul Surfer song, "Runaway."  "Nobody knows the trouble we've seen.  Nobody knows the price of this dream."  It has been a long road, and I am so thankful things are coming together in my wellness.

This sponsored post is part of my Shaklee180 Turnaround Blogger Program.  All opinions are my own.

We are just completing the Fourth Month of our Shaklee180 TurnAround.  I am loving the products and the results!  Here is my first picture taken this week.

Every month, I take a few pictures at the gym before my workout to see the visual progress. I am excited to see the four months of hard work paying off.  I have a way to go to complete my journey and total goals.  However, I am meeting my monthly goals. And I feel great.

I am continuing Pilates once a week, Running 2 or 3 5ks once a week, and swimming some.  Also, I enjoy doubles Tennis with my family.  And recently, a girlfriend and I began Tennis - singles - once a week for an hour.  I am having fun and encourage anyone out there to get moving.  Your body quickly remembers the fun of being active and will thank you.  You deserve it.

Look, I can see a difference in these two pictures from month two and four, tagged below.  What do you think?

Month 4
Month 2

One thing I am excited about is the slow but consistent change loss.  I feel like I can do this forever.  Great news. Right!

Here I am a happy Camper Beachside at our Hotel at Hilton Head Island after visiting this Lighthouse there with my family.  I love seeing my happy and active self again.  Very thankful.

Shaklee180 is very clear cut to use and simple.  I have not been perfectly on the plan. However, consistently going back to these base meals, protein bar and protein fruit smoothies has made a difference. I use them consistently when I am in town.  I do take a couple of days to have three normal meals when I am feeling like I need to mix it up.  It works.  Yes, I do continue my journey Gluten Free. - I am about 90% Gluten Free and chose GF for diet and wellness purposes.  I am not Celiac.

Here are some pictures I love.  My sons and me earlier this month.  So happy and thankful.  We had Brunch out at Another Broken Egg, a fun restaurant founded in Louisiana.  I went, I ate and I didn't get off plan and it felt fabulous.  I had two poached eggs, half a serving of turkey sausage and fruit.

This was taken at the Top of the Lighthouse at Hilton Head Island, one of my favorite places.  I reminisced my days of living on this Island as a college girl just graduated.   It was wonderful to be back full-circle with my own children - our family in tow.  I love this picture.  And my white jeans are really loose. Happy.

By the way, the Numbers! ;). here is the scoop in # form: lost -4 .lbs!!  However, my measurements are almost the same. My clothes fit well. And I can see a difference. So, I am learning, again, not to put too much stock in just the numbers on the scale or the tape measure. Here's to a successful Minh and to losing some inches again this month! Right!

Have a great month and let me know if you have questions. I would LOVE to help anyone on their journey as the song Runaway says, "Nobody knows the trouble we've seen, nobody knows the price of this dream."  A dream that is worth it!

Warmly,
Carolina Mama

Shaklee 180 Blogger June Update

Hello!  Just back from a two week Beach Vacation - two beaches - and hiatus from blogging.  Welcome to my June Shaklee 180 Vlog Update.

Shaklee180 Two Month Progress and Update

We just completed our first two months on the Shaklee180 Blogger Program.  This has been one awesome program and we still have four months left to go.  I am excited to report some progress.  One thing I will share is that progress can take a slow form so I have to stay focused.  You may have seen my video of staying focused on vacations and weekend travels.

Here is what I am looking like after 2 months on Shaklee180.  I love my new Spring look.

These pants are a size smaller :) and they are plenty loose after this past month.  More happy face, happy dance.  It has been worth every effort, every shake, meal bar, exercise, etc.  I love my routine with Shaklee180 and my Gluten Free life, most days.  (Again, I do not have celiac disease.  However, my body loves when I am Gluten Free 90% of the time.)

I actually like it and do not miss gluten.  Shaklee180 makes that simple because the products are Gluten Free, No GMOs, no artificial flavors or colorings.

The beginning of the month looks like this when the Shaklee180 Turn Around Kit arrives.

We have been traveling a lot this Spring and I am happy to still be losing even with a lot of special and big meals.  I am making more and more great choices as a habit.  And the best thing is I do not feel like I am missing out. I love making better choices and skipping all of the "filler foods."

Here are some pictures from the first month, pre-Shaklee180, and just at the end of the second month.  I am wearing the same workout pants.  I can even see the progress in my tee shirts.  Look how loose the one on the right it.  Okay, girls, I know you're with me, so here goes.  My much unfilmed back side.  For the sake of helping others and keeping myself accountable....  I am just so pleased to be making progress.

Here are some pictures in my SkirtSport gear. I love their girly feminine leggings and skirts.  Mine was too snug for my preference when I got it, and a month later, I am really liking the fit.

1 month after Shaklee180
2 months after Sbaklee180

Here is my family and me celebrating Mother's Day 2013!  So fun and I feel great. So we splurged a little at a fabulous new restaurant in Raleigh, CowFish, where I had awesome Sushi.  And we did share an incredible dessert - we didn't even finish it.  It was fun to splurge on something special like their Southern Lemon Pound Cake with fresh fruit and ice cream.

Now for some numbers:  Since beginning Shaklee180, I have lost 11.2 pounds!  And 7 1/2 inches! Yes, I am thrilled.  This is a good pace for me even though I would love to get to my end goal more quickly.  This is very livable and I do not even feel like I am missing out because I am focused most days and then have my splurges so I look forward to getting back on routine.

Thank you for reading and joining me.  If you have questions, please feel free to leave a comment or email me at carolinamama1 @ gmail (dot) com.

Successful First Month as a Shaklee180 Blogger

Greetings everyone. Hope you all had an awesome and Happy Easter. We truly did.

This last day of March, I wanted to give you my first month progress report on my Shaklee180 Blogger journey. It is unusual to check stats on a Holiday, right/?! Well, with Shaklee180, guess what, that's okay. It has been an awesome month and I am happy to report a few things.

First of all, I need to share I have to e patient with myself. One of my challenges is that I want success right now, today or better yet, yesterday. And on the weight loss journey success is not always determined by my home scale. Second, time will tell and over the month there was success so I am happily moving forward.

Tomorrow, I will post a video and share with you the products in a brief step-by-step of what my Shaklee180 looks like each day.

And I will tell you that I am exercising regularly. I am blessed, thanks to my Daddy, to love sports, exercise and being active with my family. Thanks to my diet and Shaklee180, I am enjoying things I love even more again.

Next weekend, my family and I are running a 10K together! We are all so excited. I will say we committed and began training in November. However, Shaklee has truly helped me stay focused and to control my diet. I LOVE the ease of coming home from the gym or a run and making up a nice and fresh Protein Shake! I look forward to these. They taste delicious and they truly power me up.

So, drum roll, now for the absolute fun of the program, revealing my numbers. And a huge thank you to girlfriends who are so supportive and who listened to me all month, encouraged me and worked out with me. You rock.

This month I am DOWN:

5.4 .lbs!! Even I am shocked! I worked out this week - our last week before the Race week - and suddenly the scale moved!!

I didn't know it moved and now as I look back at my APP, I am happy I worked so hard at my diet and exercise.

Full disclosure, Easter Sunday, I splurged! I didn't go crazy but I did have some good Southern Cooking and some Chocolate. :) So I could be up a little tomorrow morning. Since I weigh on Fridays now, I am happy to say I am down 5.4.  Yes, I am working hard and yes, Shaklee180 works.

I have lost 1 inch in the waist. :) And 1 1/2 inches in the hips. So a total of 2 1/2 inches lost. Now, I have some miles to go before I am where I was several short years ago. Today, though, we're celebrating! The Easter Beagle bought me a new necklace. It is so fun to celebrate without food. Success!

Thanks for reading and if you have any questions about Shaklee180 or about my diet and exercise, please ask. I LOVE to help others. I admit, it is work, but it is worth it. I feel fabulous.

Early Happy April!

Warmly,
CarolinaMama
