Washington Duke Inn Afternoon Tea, Durham, North Carolina

A lovely evening for afternoon tea.... at the Washington Duke Inn Durham, North Carolina.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the ceremony known as afternoon tea."
Henry James

This New Orleans girl with a North Carolina native Mother, grew up to enjoy and appreciate afternoon tea. The likes of Windsor Palace in New Orleans. My husband and I
enjoyed introducing our boys to Carolina Inn Afternoon Tea when they were ten.

The tradition runs deep so I was honored to be invited to the Washington Duke Inn
exquisite afternoon tea with sweet blogging friends like Leigh of HinesSightBlog.com.

It was a wonderful Fall day to visit the Washington Duke Inn and Golf Time for Tea Time with other Carolina Bloggers. Duke University is situated on such a beautiful European, and Classic. Our family loves to visit Duke Chapel for various musicals, vespers and more.  Or, what venue for beautiful North Carolina Weddings....

Since I enjoy going with family and friends, I invited my blogger friend, Ilina of DirtandNoise.com. We had a wonderful time on the beautiful drive up to Duke. She was even patient with my taking the long road home. :)  We are pictured here with Sarah of Carolina Parent.

So, Tea Time at Washington Duke Inn was a delight much anticipated.  We had the joy of hearing our Hostess and Founder of the Old North Tea Society and Queen of Tea in North Carolina, Constance Lue.
