Breast Cancer Awareness Fashion Friday Finds

Fashion for a Cause!  How about that!  I love this time of year when we all support and encourage Breast Cancer Awareness ("BCA") and the Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation.

Our local 5K for BCA was in June.  Remember our Race in Raleigh with Hanes?  There are lots of those locally and many other things so I thought it would be fun to share some PINK with y'all for Fashion Friday!

1)  Banana Republic.  You can even get into Pink Fashion with Banana Republic's Cosmetic Pink Dress. Love this.  This is a classic cocktail dress for evening wear or even on up to New Year's Eve! Can you tell I love a little Pink Dress.

2) Hanes Pink.  Hanes Pink is an awesome interactive site to Design a Tee for breast cancer. You can make your own, share, purchase and even donate to the cause.  I love Hanes' pro-active commitment to breast cancer awareness and ultimately the cure!

3) Lilly Pulitzer.  The Pink Pelican Scarf and more because we know how Lilly Pulitzer loves pink.  We've all come to love their pink and green combinations.  Just loving the preppy days. :)

4) Pink Komen Shop.   The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure site has their own cute Pink fashion. Love this.  They have fun Pink items and this Pink Bling Watch for the Fashionista in us. :)

That's my Fashion Find Friday for Pink things.  What Pink things do you love in support of BCA?  Have a great weekend!

Wearing 30 Days of Pink! Joining fellow Hanes Comfort Crew member, Audrey McClelland for 30 Days of Pink throughout October.  Here we go Pink!

My first day is my handmade Pink Scarf from my Mother-in-love!  I adore this scarf.  They just arrived from Colorado so I am loving just beginning 30 Days of Pink with this wonderful scarf.  So you know, you'll be seeing this again!

Check out how you can "send" Pink!  See what Hanes is doing for October.  You can send someone you love a Pink Comfort Package.  See the Hanes Facebook Page Pink Tab.

Hanes is donating $1 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation for each Comfort Package ordered from HanesPink.com!  I got to send a Virtual Pink Package to a friend who is a survivor of Breast Cancer.

Would you join us?  How are you celebrating Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October?

Raleigh Komen 5K - Team Chestnut NC MomBloggers Sponsored by Hanes

Saturday was an amazing day!  It was our 2nd Annual Susan G. Komen Raleigh 5K held at the beautiful Meredith College, Raleigh, NC!  Hanes Comfort's line Hanes Pink sponsored us again - check out our cool Tees! :)  We love tradition!

Hanes Pink is committed to Breast Cancer Research! "From 2009 to 2011, Hanes has made cash and in-kind donations totaling $1,000,000 to breast cancer charities."  Hanes Pink is in partnership with the National Breast Cancer Research: Hanes is offering a special “pink collection” this fall, and making a donation to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc. to fund mammograms and breast cancer research. We love our Hanes Pink Tees! Cutest Desigin!

We had local friends and bloggers like Jen of One Moms World - it was her 1st 5K too!  She did great!  Heather and Chele were here!  We love our Hanes Pink Tees! Cutest Desigin!

This year we were NC MomBloggers Team Chestnut! in honor of our friend, Chele  We were thrilled Chele and Heather came to Raleigh to do the race with us.  After such a great time with friends being here for the race, I was moved when Heather said that she is planning to walk the race with the team.  Sure we would be thrilled!  This is a big deal since Heather has been running the races! She wanted to walk with the Team.  And she did get to blaze a trail with One Moms World for her first 5k! They were awesome!

There were excellent local sponsors like Whole Foods and Wyndham Worldwide. Wyndham was so amazing to host our Honoree Chele and her husband so that she could come into town and participate in the race - and finish it!!!  Memories of a life time!  Thank you Wyndham for supporting women in the Komen Race!

One young Mom was pushing a double stroller with two children in it and she was running... right past us! :)

This sweet lady was sitting on her porch. She was a SURVIVOR since 1980!!

This was true!  Everybody can do SOMETHING!

This church had the group the Carolina Harmony Chorus!  They were great!

I got to walk the whole race with Chele our honoree!!!  And this was her first 5K!!!
She did awesome!!

Then my honey was waiting on me at the Finish Line! with our cute Tigers!  Be prepared they want to run a 5k with me next! :)

You know Southern Girl here does clean up nicely.... :)  here I am at a post 5K Starbucks run!
Awesome!

Did you run or walk the Komen 5k?  Have you done one in the past?
Thanks for stopping by!  Enjoy the fun!
