Beauty and the Beast on Broadway in Durham

The Triangle attracts the amazing production of "Beauty and the Beast on Broadway!" production!

Growing up, my parents loved the Arts and made every effort to take us to productions in New Orleans. I still remember with glee seing "My Fair Lady" with Julie Andrews at the Saenger Theatre in NOLA as a young girl.

Today, we're looking forward to "Beauty and the Beast" in all its grandeur with our young sons right here in Raleigh. The town where my parents married years ago. (heart beats faster!)

Take a look here at the Durham Performing Arts Center

Now surprise to you, we're surprising the Tigers! We all love Beauty and the Beast and cannot wait to see this Broadway production right here in North Carolina. And it's near my birthday - it can't get any better!

"Restoring our faith in the future by recalling the stories of our past
Little House on the Prairie has remained one of the most popular and beloved celebrations of early Americana since the appearance of Laura Ingalls Wilder¹s popular classic book series 70 years ago. Now the inspirational stories take on a brand new frontier in an uplifting new musical. Melissa Gilbert, who played Laura for 10 years in the much loved television series, continues her legacy by starring as Ma. Families will continue to fall in love with these life affirming stories about the Ingalls' struggles and triumphs through the celebration of the pioneering spirit and the core values on which this country was founded a spirit that resonates within each of us today." Read more @ "Little House on the Prairie Musical!"

After the show, the Tigers got to get pictures with several of the actresses.

It really brought tears to my eyes to see Melissa Gilbert as "Ma." She was phenomenal. Little House was such a well delivered Musical. The singing talent was top-notch. And the dancing was awesome. The Little House Musical is playing in Raleigh, North Carolina through March 21st.

My parents took us to live performances at the Saenger in New Orleans when we were small and then as we grew up. I recall The Nutcracker at The Municipal Auditorium. Today I still love the Arts and have had a vested interest all along.

What a fun way to introduce your child to the Art? Or make a return trip and let them fall in love with Art, Music and Live Performances. We're Hooked on Art this Hooked on Friday! What Arts have you introduced your child to lately? Will you attend?
