"The Graylyn is a unique blend of old world charm, innovative technology, and a personal touch, Graylyn promises to create a memorable experience."

This historic residence with 46,000 square feet and 60 unique rooms makes it one of the largest private homes in North Carolina. You feel like you are touring a Castle in Europe and yet you are minutes from downtown Winston-Salem, NC and the beautiful Wake Forest University Campus.  In 1972, The Graylyn Estate was donated to Wake Forest University. It was then a Wake Forest University Conference Center and Private Club for Alumni and Family. Today, it is owned and operated as a non-profit by Wake Forest with the mission of supporting the University by providing Student Scholarships.

CarolinaMama and Family at The Graylyn Estate

Once a private club for Wake Forest University Alumni and Families, the Graylyn is now open for families, business conferences, Weddings. The Graylyn would be a fabulous Destination Wedding!
All your needs can be met here. There are 15 conference rooms making the Graylyn Estate International Conference Center one of the finest conference centers in America. I agree! I was blessed to attend the Krispy Kreme Blogger Summit at the Graylyn in 2013. It is truly a remarkable conference center and just as remarkable for Families to get away and enjoy all of the peace, quiet and amenities.

Everything about the Graylyn is immaculate. The Butlers are always available to help you and welcome and greet you.

Our son is enjoying the Graylyn royal treatment.

The Graylyn is truly known for customer satisfaction and exceeding expectations. The Estate itself is enchanting. The service impeccable. The staff and butlers make you feel welcome and completely comfortable and at home. Our boys LOVED the Graylyn and felt like it was "luxurious and had the commodities of every day life."
Graylyn Dining is an exquisite experience. Chef Gregory is devoted to using North Carolina's local products. You may even see him at your local farmers market or grocery store. He has his own Chef’s garden on the Graylyn’s Estate, which is part of their sustainability program.

"Pairing the perfect venue with impeccable service all within budget. Be sure to view details of our seasonal promotional offers."

As soon as you drive onto the property, you feel the peace and quiet of this serene place.
Oak trees always make for a placid experience.

Chess is always a great decision in our family! Our boys immediately started a chess game up on your arrival!

The Graylyn Dining was exquisite. We love the Southern charm and hospitality.

Here is another beautiful view of Graylyn Dining at breakfast. There are so many beautiful views and choices indoors and outdoors.

Here is the lobby where breakfast was served and there was a private Piano Concert the
Sunday we arrived.

We truly felt like we were visiting a European Castle with the history and elegance
and my Knight in Shining Armor! :)

More chess with the house Lemonade. And afternoon Cookies. The atmosphere is comfortable and engaging all the time.

We had a wonderful time at the Swimming Pool complete with Life Guards and Snacks.
A great Diving Board was our favorite.

And it was a short van shuttle over or Golf Cart Ride over which our boys loved.

The Mews is a very special part of the Graylyn. It resembles a Normandy Quadrangle. Again, the beautiful stone matches the Graylyn Castle. These French Cottage inspired views are gorgeous! And serene. We felt like it was our own village.

Here is another beautiful view of the courtyard at the Mews.

The suite was wonderful. We had a suite of two adjoining rooms. Perfection for families with teenagers.

The Bathrooms were luxurious with tile showers, antique tubs with all of the
best toiletries and marble counters.

Our boys loved their spacious room with queen beds and separate full bath.

The flat screen televisions and the ample business desks were very comfortable.

Again, the bathrooms were so comfortable and designer ready.

Here we are ready for a fabulous Graylyn Dining Family Dinner.
No cooking for me. :) And the choices were amazing here.

Our evening of Graylyn Dining started like this and continued just as elegantly.

We loved the opportunity for a lovely evening out with our children. My New Orleans heritage truly appreciated this.

Beautiful Capres Salad at Graylyn Dining.

My husband was so thrilled to order the Roasted Duck. It was tender and had a unique sauce
that had a sweet, savory flavor.  The Asparagus and Mashed Potatoes were perfect accompaniment.

The Decadant Chocolate Cake with Raspberry Drizzle was a family favorite!

After dinner we were all jolly! Our boys having fun in the Library after dinner. :)

Breakfast al fresco was wonderful.

From the breakfast table to the Volleyball court! My guys had so much fun!

Boulder Mt. Man and I had a little round of Croquet!  Brings back the old times for me.
Our parents had Croquet in our backyard for us. :)

Our son enjoyed the Grand Piano in the Library of the Graylyn. It sounded wonderful.

Here you see the lovely property. It was so beautiful thoughout the grounds.

Every walkway and area has a special look and feel.

The pool was a favorite with Life Guards and Snacks.

The boys and Dad loved the Diving Board. So fun!

Here we are before dinner as we left The Mews. We truly were on Holiday.

We captured the moment, one more time, from the Grand Entrance to the Graylyn. Whether you are planing a Family Wedding, a destination Wedding, Conference or Family Getaway, Graylyn has something for you.
