Greetings from Haley and the Hound, Morehead City, North Carolina on the Crystal Coast.   Haley and the Hound is all about helping you define Living the Good Life. With the most stylish, versatile and comfortable apparel, Haley and the Hound keeps you fashionable. Let me tell you about it.

It makes me so happy to share with you one of the most beautiful and stylish North Carolina brands. Like many things, word of mouth is the best marketing. So, I was thrilled when my girlfriend's response to my "love your adorable top" was an excited, "Haley and the Hound!"

Quickly, I became a customer of Haley and the Hound. Now, I get to share with you. I love, love, love the fact that Haley and the Hound is Made in the USA! There is something authentic about made in America!

The Resort wear is beautiful and nautical. Since it is so fashionable and comfortable, it can take you from poolside to dinner table. I love the beauty and elegance. This styles are so classic and yet casual.

Here is another look at my Parker Tunic in Starfish Aqua.  I do adore it!

Here is a beautiful look at the Sleeveless Shirtdress in Blue Floral.  Enjoy a beautiful and polished appearance with this light and cool dress.

When you go to the Haley and the Hound website, check out the Look Book for more fun looks like these Chippendale Shorts and this Julia dress. You'll find all kinds of ideas for pool parties, picnics and BBQs and more!

How fun are the nautical Tee Shirts. I LOVE this one, The Dog in Pearls!  So awesome that they are 100% SC grown and spun cotton and custom dyed! Printed in NC!  In college, we always wore Pearls with our Tees, so this is a favorite for me!

Happy Memorial Day Weekend!  Also enjoy the Haley and the Hound SALE page for some super deals now!

Spring Fashion Find with Sail to Sable

Spring Fashion Finds for Mother's Day and Beyond

Spring Fashion Finds.  Today I want to share one of my absolute favorite finds this Season.  The Sail to Sable Collection of Dresses and Tunics.

This season I discovered fell head over heels for Sail to Sable!  This whimsical and nautical style a favorite for Spring 2013! These dresses and tunics can be layered with a cardigan or leggings.  They are fun and comfortable all at once.

Here I am wearing this Sail to Sable to Church in Downtown Charleston, South Carolina. I love the classic look and details.  The red and white are perfect for Spring and Summer.  Here I paired it with a red cardigan for a perfect Spring look.  Ballet flats were a great mix with this traditional dress.

Mother's Day and Spring are a perfect time to step up your fashion for the season.  I love new looks that Sail to Sable has in its Collections.  It is such a comfortable dress. It was ideal for lunch al fresco on the water.

Lunch al fresco Charleston

"Raised by the water in Darien, Connecticut, Founder, Jennifer grew up visiting the beaches down the East Coast. With a love for warm weather, this collection is inspired by stripes, salty water, coral, Jackie Kennedy Onassis, bright and bold fabrics, and all things summer.

In its fourth season, Sail to Sable refers to the Easternmost and Southernmost spots on the Eastern Seaboard: Sail Rock, Maine and Cape Sable, Florida. The Sail to Sable collection is chic meets preppy and includes the classic tunic dress, light-weight cover up tunics, fabulous maxi tunic dresses and the flirty party tunic dress. The line is easy to mix and match with coordinating prints, bright colors, bold trim and stripes."

These are the cutest Summer Fashion Finds ever.  I love the preppy Blue and Green as well as the Classic Pink and White.

My dress is a dressy enough for Church and casual enough for Lunch outdoors or a simple walk on the Battery in Charleston where you meet the Antebellums Picnicking.  We had to join the fun and capture the moment.

Isn't this perfect.

At The Battery

My dress was fun waterside at lunch.

Love the Nautical look of Sail to Sable

You can find a Sail and Sable near you on their Store Finder - look for stores all on the East Coast, the South and even in California.  Or order online Collections here.  Follow Sail to Sable on Facebook here.

By the way, here is a warning, these dresses and tunics are so fabulous and beautiful and comfortable, you will want more than one to start collecting them....  Collections are good. Sail to Sable Collections are great.

Carolina Mama

Let me tell you a Fresh Produce story.  Cir. 1992.  Travel with me to the Rocky Mountains front range area and then to Boulder, Colorado.  After college, I had moved from New Orleans to Colorado to learn to ski and really to take a break from city life in NOLA.

In those early years of wonderment of the beautiful Rocky Mountains and the Front Range setting of the Denver area and Boulder, Colorado, I fell in love with the beautiful area of the country and all it offered whether it be a new hiking trail, a beautiful mountain top sunset, or a company with fun tee shirt graphics made of fruit!

From the first glimpse of Fresh Produce there in Boulder - I fell in love with this comfortable and fashionable fabric! They have awesome quality Layering tank tops and Beach clothing!!
