Christmas Crafty Thursday Fun Again ;)

Y'all are seeing it all with the Christmas tours, etc. One reminder, this is not a Craft blog. :) We all know "those" :) experts. However, in looking around for something to share, I was happy to realize I had a fun craft I just was inspired to do on my own and I want to share.

Get ready, it.is.not.perfect. However, voila the Toile! :) I made a little serving tray out of the toile we used to reupholster - remember "The Love Seat Project!" Isn't it cute together.

All supplies came from JoAnn's. And I just mod podged the material cutouts to the wooden tray I purchased. Then sprayed with a sealer. I love it and I made it!

Since I got everything on sale, I only spent about $4 - happy fact - and it is my unique creation. Saves me the $40 they go for in the retail departments.

Share a craft you created if you wish. And looking forward to a Merry Christmas!

We Did It! "The Love Seat Project" is Complete

The Tigers were awesome little helpers! They wanted to jump in - all things hammer, banging, basically loud and distructive they're in! Kidding - sort of. ;)

We all had a grand time. I say all because you really didn't think I went at it alone did you? The lovely babysitter was hired again - not to watch the Tigers - this time to be my lead and helping hands the "the Love Seat Project!" She was awesome.

She had taken on a task like this before and between the two or four or five, because yes Mt. Man did make two trips to Lowe's for us. In fact, until they ran out of said "Furniture Nails/tacks." So you may notice we're waiting on the next shipment - I think 25 - 50 is about all we need.

Here's May Take Away:
1) It was fun!
2) I bought double the fabric supplies I needed UNintentionally;
(Expect more Toile - French Country projects in the near future; ;)
3) Because yes, it is addicting;
4) Yes, it is delightful to glance over in our bedroom and see "The Love Seat" smiling back; and
5) Yes, it took about double the time we anticipated. It was worth it. :)

Now I have to send a picture to my 'mama' because she will be so happy to see the Love Seat getting the love it needs. Right here in here native Carolinas. Did I tell you this beauty has come full-circle.

It is, it has and it's perfect. Thanks for stopping by. Are you a project girl? Can you feel my anxiety and then my joy?! :)

The Love Seat Project - Before

Here we are in the throes of "The Love Seat Project!" We're doing it! Here's our lovely before picture. This is from my dear mother's mother from Greensboro.

This beauty has gone from Greensboro to New Orleans back to Carolina. So we've come full-circle. And we're hard at it getting her back in good shape. It's exciting and I know my Mama's proud.

Have a great Saturday ya'll! And just pray we're successful with my first Do It Yourself Project "DIYP"because I know We Are That Family
Back to it.

Warmly,

P.S. Realize this is huge - I am out of my comfort zone because I just posted my before picture and what if the after is worse. That will be a first After and Before project. No so much.
