Weight Watchers Homemade Kale Chips. - 0 PointPlus

Preheat oven at 360 degrees

1 bag of fresh Kale (Trader Joe's)
I Can't Believe It's Not Butter
- Olive oil Spray
Sea Salt
Fresh Ground Pepper

Rinse kale and spread on baking sheet; spray with ICBINB spray; Sprinkle with salt and pepper; bake for 10-15 minutes.

Remove from oven and cool. And just try to stop your self from indulging in these delicacies! Enjoy!

Custom Closets by Rubbermaid launched its 1st US Showroom Grand Opening Saturday, January 28th, 2012 in Morrisville, North Carolina.

Very many customers, community leaders and friends came out to Welcome them to the Raleigh/Durham Research Triangle Park, business area.

many showed up an hour early they were so eager to start this party.

It was an honor for me to be in the roll as Hostess for the event for Custom Closets. I think I fit right in because I was an instant fanatic over their exceptional products. I loved spending the afternoon showing off these amazing closets to families, couples and individuals looking to invest in their homes.

Their team is phenomenal. It felt like such a family and great working environment. So I was delighted to have my family join me. We all chose a favorite Custom Closet. I adore companies that include family and make the connection.

Duke University Chapel - "Music of Canada" Organ Recital by David Arcus

Hope you have had an amazing weekend! Can you tell our week and weekend has been full on?! We have had a blessed week. And a full one. We ended it here at Duke University Chapel for an Organ Recital "Music of Canada" by David Arcus. What a blessed time!

I love their motto for the Chapel: "Keeping the heart of the University listening to the heart of God!" :)

The Tigers were the only children there. We were so proud of their

behavior. They were such big boys and the LOVED the music. They

both are playing the Piano well and enjoy composing songs now!

So they were thrilled to meet the Organist afterwards and get his signature!

Here we let them climb trees right before we went into the Chapel.

Priorities right! :)

Isn't the Chapel gorgeous?! The Organist got a Standing Ovation.

We got to hear him on both Chapel Organs. It was a really magnificent.

Here's the Happy Family on the way into the Concert!

Here I am with my Soul Mate! The Tigers asked my sweetie what

Soul Mate means... his reply, "Husband and Wife!" :) "Mommy!" :)

Of course, my reply, "Daddy!" :)

It was a wonderful family time. We all love getting away to enjoy

beautiful music in such an outstanding Chapel right here in North Carolina!

Seven Chapel Hill-Carrboro Chefs Vie for Culinary Supremacy

Carolina Inn hosts First Ever Shrimp and Grits Throwdown on February 25

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (January 25, 2012) – Seven local star chefs from renowned restaurants will compete for the title and bragging rights of Shrimp and Grits Champion in the inaugural Chapel Hill-Carrboro Chefs’ Throwdown on Saturday, February 25 from 1-4 pm at The Carolina Inn.

Watch as the celebrated chefs prepare their own unique twist on Shrimp and Grits and enjoy tasting samples from each of the contestants. The only requirement for the seven chefs is using shrimp and grits as they have full culinary freedom to prepare their signature dishes for the attendees and judges. Come let your voice be heard and cast your vote for “Fan Favorite.”

Tickets are $15 per person and can be purchased online at www.CarolinaInnThrowdown.com. For more information, contact throwdown@carolinainn.com. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to TABLE, serving Chapel Hill-Carrboro children at risk for hunger. Patrons are also asked to bring canned food and nonperishable items to donate at the event.

Great Christian Marriage Advice

Our family was blessed to spend some time together today recharging. We chose to take a listen to our previous Pastor speak. We listened to the awesome Pastor Jeff Clark of First Hattiesburg, Mississippi.

He was our Pastor when the Tigers were born in Mississippi. We were blessed with him as Pastor and his beautiful and wonderful wife, Alicia. Our church family was a spiritual gift to us. We were newly married 'kids from Colorado' whom had 'come home' (for me just an hour + from my birthplace). Treasured

memories.

Today we listened to Jeff preach "Crazy, Stupid Love, Part I."

OFFICIAL: Joe Paterno Dies at 85

After CBS posted Joe Paterno's death last night, today it is NOW officially official that he has died of complications with lung cancer. He was 85.

Here is the LA Times article and Joe Paterno Obituary.

It's a sad ending to a full career as the LATImes reported, "His career ended mired with a scandal just after his record 409th career victory...." This is another reason we should not idolize man. We are all only human. At his age, at least, he did not live through and endure the trial of Sandusky and all of the horror there. And one wonders what would Joe Paterno has testified to - truly - had he testified. As the Times said, "from triumph to tragedy."

A Beautiful Saturday

Today was a fabulous family day. We had some great family time and then Dad coached and the boys played ball. So fun.

It was Tiger A's first basketball game and post broken foot. Thankfully, he did great and Tiger B was on a roll tonight. Wonderful all around.

All of this after a round at the gym: Racquetball with Daddy and Mommy on the Treadmill. ;)

After Winning their game, it was Mom's Homemade Nachos (crockPot Thank You!) and then out for Ice Cream at DQ. Somebody likes the Blizzard and the rest of us love a Chocolate cone. Simple goodness.

Notice Tiger B with his Knitting Patterns from Jo-Ann's! He loves to create knitted things and is teaching his brother. Guess who made my cool, cute, cream knitted cap?! Love it!

We are continuing our many 1,000 Gifts again this year. What a privilege and blessing.

"I Got This" Jennifer Hudson Releases New Book

"I Got This!" Jennifer Hudson has released a book of her Weight Watchers journey. Well, I got this on my iPad 2. And am loving it! No doubt you have seen or heard Jennifer Hudson sharing her journey to weight loss with Weight Watchers. You know I am a long time Weight Watcher. :) And I love her story. I am loving her NEW BOOK:

See, wouldn't you agree Jennifer's Got This! She candidly shares her ups and downs and the realization that see needed Weight Watchers to begin with - I can relate.

"It gave my Mama a lot of joy to make meals for her kids."

See, I can totally relate and my Mama cooked from scratch also. :)

Then came the unexpected: life, another decade and pounds. So yeah, I love the "I Got This" approach and Jennifer's "I love Weight Watchers."

It is exciting to read a real life story of someone changing their ways with a reasonable and healthy program like Weight Watchers. Thankfully, I love healthy foods, I crave exercise and I believe WW is a great and realistic resource. I'm ready to get back to me this year. WW works!

Starbucks Blonde is here! Very nice. I tried the Veranda because being Southern, Verandas are a huge part of our lives.

It totally showed up in a big flavor yet smooth, beautiful - like Blonde. ;) Great for parties and Spring, I'm thinking since it is a bit lighter note.

It's a New Day! And a New Year!

Somehow, I think Jennifer Hudson wouldn't mind my altering her saying! Because this is going to be a great year! :)

So I am at my Weight Watchers meeting last night. And I ask the all consuming questions what do you do - usually about mid-week - when you do not know the points and you guesstimate and then get off track.

My Leader gave me "the Best" answer on the planet!

Weight Watchers Launched the New Weight Watcher Bar Code Scanner APP FREE

for iPhone and Android.

Today at the gym, I realize I didn't track my Breakfast Bar and Coffee.

So I device to try out the cool new APP. It is awesome! So easy to use.

Here is my first scan:

Isn't it beautiful! I fell in love. Now, I want to track my life. The APP looks like the

Weight Watchers logo, here is is for the Bar Code Scanner:

So I got home and tracked away. See, look at this.

I love the way it gives you all the details with the points.

AND you can send it to the Weight Watchers Mobile APP ...

and track straight to your tracking for the day, add to favorites, etc. The possibilities are endless!

Here is another scan I did when I got home. :) Easy!

So the Tigers got a treat lunch at one of their favorites, Arby's, [gasp] and I

was starving, too... well, you know what helped, I thought about the

tracking. This new app, how much fat in a "few" fries. Then I remembered my all

new Trader Joe's Favorites, the Skinny Fries!

Forget about it, I'm eating Skinny Fries!

My boys worked out today and they have sports tonight, and no weight to lose,

so they are good for a splurge, me, not so much.

Look at the difference, the grease of the "good mood food" [scary] and the

clean look of a potato - skinny fry. It's worth it to eat right.

Disney Junior was introduced as a daily programming block on Disney Channel in February 2010 and, year to year, its ratings are up 26% among Kids 2-5 and 36% among Boys 2-5.

The popular Disney Junior daily programming block will continue on Disney Channel while the new 24 hour channel will fulfill parents' demands for quintessentially Disney programming throughout the day. The Disney Junior channel will be available via major cable and satellite providers Comcast, Time Warner Cable, Cablevision, Bright House Networks and Verizon, among others. Marsh said: "This marks the beginning of a sea change in the 'preschool plus' television landscape. The response to our Disney Junior programming block has been extremely positive from both our affiliate partners and our viewers’ parents. On March 23, when it launches as a stand-alone channel, our audience will have the opportunity to experience an engaging, learning-focused and uniquely Disney destination on a 24-hour basis."

Disney Junior invites mom and dad to join their child in the Disney experience of magical, musical and heartfelt stories and characters, while incorporating specific learning and development themes designed for kids age 2-7. A council of academic advisors comprising experts in the fields of child development, transmedia, storytelling, early education and creativity will guide Disney Junior's learning and development curriculum.

Nancy Kanter, Senior Vice President, Original Programming and General Manager, Disney Junior Worldwide, said: "Disney Junior series each have specific curriculum experts and now, to maximize overall learning value, we are deepening our conversation to include a channel advisory council that will share research and knowledge in the world of education and bring important perspectives on innovations in early childhood learning."

The 24 hour Disney Junior schedule will include daily telecasts of "Jake and the Never Land Pirates" (the #1 series among Boys 2-5 for 2011) and the hit series "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse." It will also introduce the animated series "Doc McStuffins" at launch, and will feature new editions of the acclaimed short-form series "A Poem Is..." and a weekend movie block, "Magical World of Disney Junior." New interstitials featuring Disney heritage characters, including Sebastian and Flounder from "The Little Mermaid," Mrs. Potts and Chip from "Beauty and the Beast," and pups Lucky and Pepper "101 Dalmatians," will also debut.

Other upcoming programming includes "Sofia the First," a television movie and series introducing a new little girl princess with stories designed to communicate positive messages and life lessons that are applicable to preschool-aged children; and "Oki's Oasis," the first western for preschoolers, starring actress and singer-songwriter Mandy Moore (Disney's "Tangled") as the voice of Oki, a kitty cat sheriff who ensures that the town of Nice and Friendly Corners remains the friendliest town in the West.

New Year's Eve found me dressed up fancy and ready to step out with my dashing husband and precious twin sons for a little family celebration. My husband told me he loved my dress and that I looked fabulous....

Then he paused at our dresser and picked up the tag... "wow" and then he said, "You know that your dress supports a 35 year old widow, living in India. Hey, look she has a son and a daughter."

This literally brought tears to my eyes. Here I was ready to go out on a fancy splurge and celebrate a great New Year in the USA while a micro-loan of $89 changed this widow's life! She said, "I am now confident I can take care of my children and provide them with a quality education. This is my life ambition."

As each New Year commences, I look forward with eager anticipation. A childlike wonder at what the year will hold. I set goals, yes, the old resolution type with a healthy dose of old-fashion resolve.

Chicago Summer 2011

There are usually a couple of things on the calendar. The routines and schedule will soon begin and then the fun of filling out the year - living. The expected and the unexpected. This year, my blog brought many amazing opportunities to work with incredible brands that represent America and family. I'm honored.

And the unpredictable. As a believer, the Christian life leads me to renew my faith and trust in the Lord of my life and His knowing the best plan for me regardless of the joy or pain it may bring. Sometimes it is not an easy road. Other times, it is a full year and life of activity. That was our 2011.

This I'll say with complete dependence on Christ our Savior, that I have no idea what is in store for us in 2012. And I do know God loves us the same this year as the years before and after. I know that he will see us through whatever circumstance comes our way:

"For we know that all things work together for good to those who love God and are called according to his purpose." Romans 8:28

May we trust Him, love Him, serve Him and praise Him the same regardless. Only He can give us the grace to do that.

Looking back on 2011, we were blessed indeed to spend great family time, grow the Carolina Mama writing and travel side of my blog, and see some awesome places in the process. And it was truly a wonderful year in the life of our family, Carolina Mama, travels and family time.

As I reflect on 2011, I am thankful for the amazing opportunities to work with so many outstanding brands. I have been honored to join the Hanes Comfort Crew this year and share, learn and grow this awesome "Crew!" I am psyched to continue as a Rayovac Power Blogger and champion along with this incredible and durable Brand that 'lasts longer' - really! We get to test it and prove it. Joining the eBay Parent Panel was a perfect match for me because I have always turned to eBay as a Buyer and a Seller.

* Our 2011 Review *

January kicked off the year with an awesome time at Blissdom in Nashville, Tennessee. This was my first Blissdom Conference, and I loved it and got to see familiar faces and meet folks I had only met online prior. And meet great brands and learn a lot. Then I flew to Charlotte and met my family there where we launched an amazing new product Eat.Think.Smile with fabulous Moms there. Awesome, healthy chocolate. Life is good!

February Ocean Isle Inn, North Carolina hosted our NC Mom Bloggers Conference. This was an awesome time of learning, community and a great little fun on the beach.

March - Again my heart was moved and inspired by Sally Clarkson of Mom Heart Conference in Raleigh, NC as a Retreat on Moms, Family and Home. Then the North Carolina Tourism Event invited Jen with One Mom's World and our children. Loved discovering and connecting with these phenomenal North Carolina families and learning about lot of NC family fun.

April My family was honored to join the Hanes Comfort Crew to Disney; what an incredible time of relationship and comfort in the middle of Disney with a brand that is all about people and comfort; this was truly memories of a life time for us. We were invited to the Kennedy Space Center, Cape Canaveral, FL to have Lunch with an Astronaut and this was moving to see our boys dream of walking on the moon.

May - Visit Kissimmee hosted us for the second year as we discovered the Wonders of Florida in Osecola County. We love it there. Then it was home to the Southern

Carolina Inn, Chapel Hill, North Carolina, for a weekend rich in Southern culture, history and cuisine! This included the famous High Tea even with the Tigers. We're all hooked, now.

May also took us to The Cove, Asheville, NC. My husband and I loved our "get away" and what a refreshing time spiritually and physically. We heard from heaven. And we got to hear and meet the fabulous Shaun Groves! Too fun! And what a message he shares.

We culminated our May and Spring with a family vacation to the High Hampton Inn, Cashiers, NC - Truly an Inn to Remember. Life is different there.

We connected as a family and with the outdoors and life in such a beautiful way here. The European French daily feasts and Fly Fishing helped! :) Or was it the ice cold Water Fall, Tennis, Swimming in the Lake....

June - I was so privileged to visit Minneapolis, Minnesota with General Mills for Box Tops University! What a delight! We have clipped and saved all these years and GM showed us all the good Box Tops for Education is doing for our schools and ultimately our children. I was moved to participate.

For the 2nd year, I got to lead a Race for the Cure - Susan G. Komen Team of Carolina Bloggers and Friends sponsored by Hanes Comfort. We had a great team and were able to dedicate our race to our own NC Mom Blogger, Chele Chestnut who was battling cancer. This moved us all to tears especially when Chele crossed that finish line for the first time. This is what life is. This is why I blog.

July - At home in NC - the July 4th Parade, a Family Wedding turned into a mini reunion. Home in the Summer is beautiful.

August - August took us to Chicago, Illinois ... to see family. Lots of family and our 5 day old Great Niece! And precious 9 month old Great Nephew! We loved the Sears Tower, the Tigers were brave for the Sky Deck! We are the Heartland - Our Family Reunion ages ranged from 5 days to 77 years, 4 generations. Priceless.

Then it was an early Field Trip for the Homeschool: What a quintessential field trip of all time - The Creation Museum, Cincinnati,OH/Lebron, KY. This is a believers - Creationist's - delight!

September - It was a thrill to be invited to join the eBay Parent Panel and commence in Orlando, Florida with the eBay OnLocation; what a fun group on the eBay Parent Panel; We wrapped the Summer with Boogie- Boarding on Wrightsville Beach, NC; we're in our element at the beach. I actually got to read and sip my Starbucks this year.

A couple of weeks later Thomas Nelson invited me to join the ever-so-popular Women of Faith Conference, Charlotte, NC; I was blessed and renewed in a mighty way that weekend. And my friend Jen shared it with me. Moms need that sometimes.

October - We were truly blessed with when Colorado Grandparents came to Carolina to visit; a beautiful family time. We LOVED just spending time together. And weft in a little NC family time Camping at the Lake - you know, light saber duals from the back yard to lake side. And Tiger A and I couldn't take the cold, so we turned it into a car camp. Worked for us = a little bit of sleep. :)

November - A Carolina Thanksgiving and Christmas Musical - home; I'm so very proud of Boulder Mountain Man and the Tigers for their hard work on our musical. I was teary-eyed at their diligence.

December - For the 2nd year, we celebrated A Carolina Christmas, Charlotte, NC; this was magical. The lovely and FUN Great Wolf Lodge, NC, hosted us and we indulged in Snowland the entire time we were there. And one can never tire of the Howling Tornado!

Then it was a surprise to the NASCAR Hall of Fame for the Tigers, this after banking on the Charlotte Motor Speedway to see the Christmas lights the night before - this included seeing the largest outdoor Drive In! How fun to see Polar Express in this manner.

Make 2012 A Year of Service

Happy New Year Y'all!

This year, I even got fancy with "Holiday Hair!" ;) (see Pink in photo !) Yes, conservative me, and yes, that Pink rinses right out of my hair. ;) It was fun and I see a post coming because um, lots of Mom friends are curious about it.

Nonetheless, New Year's was a blessed time to make our first place to patronize in 2012 be our Church. What a blessing and a privilege. One I do not want to take for granted, ever. Ironically, the favorites were visited today, Church, Starbucks, Target and some great time spent at home with family!

Nice start to the year!

I wanted to share a quick thought from our church service that will set the tone for us and hopefully for you, too. We were challenged in Philippians 3:4-14 to "Fix our gaze on Christ, our eternal reward."

Then I share: "May we make 2012 our best year of Service."

Isn't that awesome! Not a year of me, myself and mine. Yet, a year for others and a year of serving Christ our King. I love this and I need to hear it. He pointed out that "The future is not determined by the past. The future is determined by the present." LOVE this! And hey, you can join us and let's all make it a great future by impacting our world by service to others for our Lord.

So I am thinking and praying about "Making 2012 my Best Year of Service!"

As I look back on 2011, it was a blessed time. We are so thankful for God's consistent love and grace in our lives.

"His compassionate they fail not." No wonder my amazing grandmother lived his scripture. It is the gospel message.

And I need it every day - His compassionate they fail not! Thank you Lord! And may I have much compassion for others no matter. I am so thankful for my adoring husband and precious children.

Thank you all for a fabulous year. I adore the time together here! And time we have shared elsewhere due to the magic of social media.

God bless us each and every one and may we serve Him and others Big in 2012! God bless!

Snowland Great Wolf Lodge 2011

Snowland at Great Wolf Lodge is truly magical.

We had the most lovely time in Charlotte recently. Everything is so festive. We got away to Snowland at the Great Wolf Lodge! This has become a wonderful tradition that we cherish each year.

All of the snow falling, the festive lodge with all of the white lights and decorated Christmas trees. It is truly magical indeed. attended the Charlotte Motor Speed Way Carolina Christmas. We got to ride on the trace and look at the miles of Christmas lights. Then at the end you can go into the center of the track and enjoy the Santa Village and The lovely Live Nativity scene. We have come to love this every year.

Look at the convivial Great Wolf Lodge Welcome! Beautiful!

The Bears are so cute throughout the Lodge. Stay on the look out.

Even the Angry Birds Christmas Tree was bright and shiny! Every year they have all of the Christmas trees in a contest. So cute. Here's our vote. lol

Yes, for the 2nd Year, we took off to a Carolina Christmas at Charlotte Motorspeed Way! Oh may,

Our boys are getting spoiled racing on the Motorspeed Way!

It's true the Cabarrus County Motto: "Where Racing Lives!"

Then we took in the miles of Christmas lights! And the largest outdoor Drive In Movie and saw a little

Polar Express! Yes! That was cool!

Here's the Santa's Letter Box. Santa greeted the children.

Then we looked at all of the Christmas trees that were decorated in themes. We loved the

NASCAR and I, of course, the Pink Tree.

We were moved by the LIVE Nativity Scene and Bethlehem City we got to tour.

There is something somber about visiting a live Nativity scene in preparation for

celebrating Jesus' Birthday at Christmastime! Our family

was very joyful for this experience. Peace on Earth, Good will toward Men.

This is how we LOVE the Waterpark at Great Wolf Lodge! It is amazing and the Howling Tornado is like nothing else.

Recently Firebird's invited us to Dinner while we were in Charlotte for a Carolina Christmas with One Mom's World and family. What a great experience. We had a great Christmas dinner together. Just look how happy and content we all are after dinner here! :) Happy faces and full tummies.

You will love the friendly and fun atmosphere for the whole family. As you can see by some of the photos, the children's menu is really kid friendly and very well portioned (as is the adult menu).

Another cool feature is that Firebird's Grills is that the Firebird's actual grill is visible from the dining hall. You can enjoy seeing a fire with real firewood and your food being grilled right there in front of you. It adds a certain flare to your experience.

This is what makes the food so unique is that it is grilled over the firewood, which makes for an awesome grilled flavor on most of the food prepared there. See my fire grilled Salmon... heaven on a plate. :)

One favorite item we recommend you try is the Mango Habanero Chutney. It is similar to mango salsa, but so much better. A sweet, slightly spicy sauce that comes as a garnish on a couple of the items on the menu. It is out of this world. We were eating it as a side dish we loved it so much!

Okay, look at another Children's Meal. :) A certain Tiger A devoured this meal. And all the children LOVED the Oreo's. Nice perk and then they shared a Brownie Sundae. Spoiled. Thank you Firebird's! Told you children are very welcome.

You must save room for dessert - warning, be prepared for a tough decision. Their desserts are top of the line choices.

A dessert of two! Or three. We had the Key Lime Pie also. Divine! This Southern delicacy is done to perfection at Firebird's.

If you haven't quite enough room, make sure you get one to go for a little later in the evening.
I have to just say the coffee is really awesome. Check out Firebird's Grill today for one near you, and end the old bring in the New Year right!

We even made ourselves at home so much so that we had a little Red cast signing for the broken Christmas foot. We like to keep it fun. No, crutches do not slow him down, Praise God. :)

And yes look at those To Go bags sitting to the right. There is too much to finish and these make fab leftovers. Experience the wonder again at home. We did!

PS Tiger B LOVED these Coconut Shrimp and so did his Sweet Friend M. See kids love good food!

Oh, yes, we couldn't finish all the desserts. Their signature decadent Chocolate Cake is all that!

Hanes Sock Drive - North Carolina 2011

"Hanes for the Holidays" has been playing in my mind like a song. This season has been different for me. When the Hanes Sock Drive kicked off back in November, I was thrilled to participate and share how virtually we could help Hanes donate 250,000 socks on the Hanes Facebook page.

Long before that the Comfort Crew had been planning and working with Hanes on our ideas of how to bring the socks into our own communities in whatever way we wished to reach those in need. Hanes donated 200 pair of socks to each Comfort Crew member to share and grow as we wished.

My heart leapt at the idea of partnering with the local YMCA to get socks to their outreach children. The Y works with outreach children all year to help them enjoy life and their childhood just like everyone else. The Y had an Angel Tree gift program in place at Christmastime each year.

They were elated to partner with the Hanes Sock Drive this year. Michelle Rhino, the Director of Outreach, told me "The socks always get left out. Well meaning donors give gifts of clothes and toys and no one remembers Socks." My heart melted. It was a privilege to participate with them.

This year we expanded the Angel Tree Program by incorporating the Hanes Sock Drive. 347 children were reached.

Here I caught up with Dana from the Y to talk about the Socks donated that will be at the Y for the children as needed throughout the year.

Then our family got to join the YMCA Team on the night they delivered the gifts to the children. Everyone was elated. These greeters met the families and escorted them to pizza, and cupcakes and snacks before the gifts were given.

In the gym, the gifts were sectioned off with various names and families for their packages.

Boulder Mountain Man carried our Tiger A when he got tired from his heavy Christmas red Cast.

Hanes SOCKS are in these bags. :) Happy face! We were so thrilled that the families will have a wonderful, warm and Comfortable Holiday Season.

Wait, there is more... since we wanted to GROW the Socks Hanes gave us and since my AWESOME Blogging community here in North Carolina wanted to help others and they KNOW Hanes gives back. Three blogger friends asked me if they could help and would Hanes help.

Um, YES! No, um, no hesitation, just YES, and yes! So I divided (4) packages of (6) Hanes Socks for each Mom Blogger and off to the Post Office I went.

Jen of One Moms World, Maricris of Zen Mama and Ilina of Dirt and Noise will all share their packages with the community that is in need in the cities of Boone, NC, Charlotte, NC and Raleigh, NC! This is big! Thank you ladies for your hearts to serve. And Hanes for giving back right into our communities!

The Hanes Sock Drive grew to (4) North Carolina Cities this year. Cary, Raleigh, Boon, Charlotte, North Carolina. Look for more of their pictures. And get ready for next year to be even bigger. We have a Vision, a Dream. And we Southern Girls Dream Big!

Hello again to the Noodles and Company Grown Up Mac N' Cheese!

Noodles and Co invited us back to try out their amazing sensation in their Grown Up Mac N Cheese offerings. These are seasonal fare. So we hurried on over and got to visit with Margaret the District Manager of Marketing here in North Carolina.

Here is my video of Margaret entertaining us when these items first rolled out earlier this year. She tells you all about the good stuff. here is Margaret describing these awesome gourmet, grown up Macs!

We enjoyed all three of the new Grown Up Mac N' Cheese bowls. Here is the Chili Cheese Bowl. It is flavor packed.

The Fancy Pants - Baby Truffle Portabella Mushroom was very tasty and light as well. So there is a mood for that one. My friend Jessica from The B Keeps Us Honest was there with us in the video this spring. Here is her picture of the Fancy Pants. We obviously ate ours before the photo. Umm, yes, that good!

The last one is the Cheeseburger Mac N' Cheese. Boulder Mt. Man liked this one best. It had that cheeseburger with bacon flavor.

So let me tell you about my Market Tote. Here I am in my Happy Place with my newest bag. I'll admit it, I love bags. And I was thrilled to be able to review a Gussy Sews bag of my choice.

Here is my choice! :) I love the Lip Gloss Pink! Isn't she beautiful! I love the classic look with the

beautiful Gussy Sews ruffle.

Then look at the opposite side. You can have two looks. Very clever. This side is a simple

look for everyday or brighter colors in your outfit.

One of my favorite perks is the pretty stripped gray and white fabric on the lining of the bag.

And the two generous interior pockets. Don't mind that I've already "broken in" the bag with

a little lipstick smudge. oops. I love it that much. Good thing these bags are machine wash on delicate.

Here's how my bag looks when I carry it. I love the detailing of the signature tag, the stripped lining colors and the lipstick pink ruffle. I love that these bags are so unique. And durable.

Yes, I already got really comfortable loading it up with all of my every day "necessities."

(I'm all girl.) So I had to make room for my photo shoot. That said, this bag

can haul a lot of good gear, even my technical "devices." Good thing.

Advent has been such a wonderful time of reflection. Today our church service was no different. Our Pastor preached an amazing message about the circumstances of the time. Elizabeth's baby, John, being born and Jesus being born to Mary. Two different women and two different circumstances.

He mentioned this song and I loved watching it again. We were moved by it the first time we saw it, too. May you and your family be blessed this Christmas by this, "A Strange Way to Save the World."

May the Lord bless and keep you and may you find light and life in a relationship with Jesus Christ this Season.

All of us enjoyed these. The candy was a wonderful way to kick off our season with

treats that don't require cleaning a kitchen afterwards!
