It engages the kids (even our 8 yr old boy) to seek clues and find all the objects (some are tricky). They are so busy observing, they don't have time to fuss. I'd also suggest reading "Mystery at Biltmore House" before you go (www.kidslovetravel.com/travel_mystery_books.htm). The kids can practically re-enact this "soft" mystery!Family Travel Momhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04087518622872894317noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-496085967822115527.post-79021028503982005622009-06-13T10:22:24.634-04:002009-06-13T10:22:24.634-04:00Thanks Shannon! Also don't think I would take kids under the age of 10 to the Biltmore House unless you like to say "Shhhhh", and "don't touch that" 28,000 times. :)Shannonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16413414001648027592noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-496085967822115527.post-51702503788304408832009-06-12T22:01:16.734-04:002009-06-12T22:01:16.734-04:00Hi! When our little girl was younger, we loved getting up early and taking day trips!

When we lived in Johnston County, we would drive down to the eastern part of the state and spend the day. Now we enjoy taking the day and heading up to the mountains!Enjoy all your day-cations!Gingerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03519485460098429364noreply@blogger.com
