Thankfully, Samaritan's Purse has been reaching out to the very many devastated in the Philippines who suffered the super typhoon. Every year, Operation Christmas Child helps children around the globe experience Christmas and Christ.
"Since 1993, more than 100 million boys and girls in over 130 countries have experienced God’s love through the power of simple shoebox gifts from Operation Christmas Child. Samaritan’s Purse works with local churches and ministry partners to deliver the gifts and share the life-changing Good News of Jesus Christ." - Operation Christmas Child
It was such a Blessing to participate!
Each of the children brought supplies, toys, toiletries, candy, stuffed animals, etc. We organized the various boxes of supplies and then had each child go through the line to make a box for a Boy or a Girl.
Then my son and I, along with my son's friend and his mother, got to label and rubber band our boxes.
And my son LOVED making the Pyramid with all of the boxes! :)
My other son helped rally all of the children from their rooms to the assembly line and make their boxes.
They had so much joy in their hearts helping and we prayed over the boxes as we labeled them.
The children had so much fun before ... and after packing the boxes.
Here they are making their boxes. It was fun to let them choose the items carefully
for each boy or girl for each box. You can see the teachers and Moms enjoyed helping as well.
My son and a friend of his were excited.
Here are our labelers and pyramid builders! :) Happy, happy, happy. Amen!
Here are all of the children standing or sitting in front of their pyramid.
This was such a fun day and a wonderful way for our children to get in the Christmas spirit early. Thinking of others is what Jesus love. You can get your boxes made and dropped off this week! Check out the details, here.
You can track your box destination as it goes around the world here.
Have you made an Operation Christmas Child Box this year? Do you plan to do so? You will be blessed. And a child will be, too.
Warmly, Carolina Mama
