Our Battery Free Christmas!
Hope your Christmas was merry and bright. Ours was, it was just not white. We're okay with that really because we had a 63 degree Christmas. That is nice after a cold front moved through a few days before Christmas Eve.
We went for a family hike/run before 'the big Christmas dinner.' A man from Long Island offered to take our picture and mused "I wonder what they're doing up North." :) He was loving getting to jog in shorts on Christmas Day.
And yes, the Tigers loved their toys. And their parents loved the battery free factor. Mountain Man and I are loving our fruits of a battery free Christmas this year and y'all it has been sooo nice. So without linking up to all the toys we did buy, I'll suffice it to say = the boys are playing, building, creating, reading.... It has been a nice diversion. Ironically, we had all of our batteries stocked this year.
Here are the happy faces of "the Cherubs" on our hike and in their Christmas pajamas - this year Dinosaurs ruled - that is Glow.In.The.Dark Dinosaurs. :) That made for an interesting bedtime. Nothing like gearing them up like glowing jammies when they're already 'seeing Santa and the Reindeer' out their windows.
Let me know what stands out about your Christmas 2008. p.s. another bonus here, it was fun to stay in town this year.
Warmly,
Hi Friend! Looks like you had an awesome time. And no batteries? Brilliant. I'm a little overwhelmed with Wii games at the moment... but since my hubby and kiddos enjoy them ~ I'll take the extra computer time. :) Have a great night....
ReplyDeleteWE had an almost no battery Christmas. We needed just one for JK's new train. It is soooooo nice not worrying about tons of batteries! The boys look so cute in their pj's!
ReplyDeleteI was getting behind, just catching up on your blog. Merry Christmas!!! It was a tad too warm for our liking this year.

Hi, my Twitter friend! So glad you had a great Christmas. Those 2 little boys are just adorable. Yes, think about coming by the Before & after party on Jan. 7th! It will be fun! We will all need some new inspiration.
ReplyDeleteThanks for following me on Twitter. Your blog is delightful! (I like the snow.)
ReplyDeleteOur Christmas was battery-free, too, but it wasn't planned. I'm always seeking to simplify, so I guess I did it intuitively. ;)
Peace to you,
Renae
